Excalibur Integrated Systems, Inc., Showcasing Critical Wireless Classroom Enhancements at Technology Transfer Conference, Apr. 17

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 12, 2013) – As schools nationwide see mounting network traffic and mobile devices in the classroom strain their capacity, Excalibur Integrated Systems, Inc., will present a number of critical infrastructure enhancements at the Sixth Annual Technology Transfer Conference, on Wednesday, Apr. 17.

“With state and federal mandates pushing more and more advanced technology in the classroom, many school wireless systems are coming dangerously close to overload,” said Rodger Jenkins, president and CEO of Excalibur, one of the conference’s leading sponsors.

“Thankfully, Chattanooga has recognized the need for greater online capacity, well ahead of many communities across the nation. By harnessing EPB of Chattanooga’s high-speed fiber optic network and the City-owned wireless mesh network, Excalibur has designed a number of simple protocols to help school districts around the country to accommodate the growing number of student devices—before it becomes a crisis,” Jenkins said.

Organized by The Enterprise Center and co-sponsored by Excalibur and EPB of Chattanooga, the Technology Transfer Conference on Wednesday, Apr. 17, will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter Dr., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Our students deserve the best opportunities and tools to compete in tomorrow’s national and global economy. Excalibur is presenting a simple map and solutions for school districts around the country to provide the needed tools to ensure the success of our future generations,” Jenkins said.

“By making the decision to cooperate at the Technology Transfer Conference, and not simply compete with other technological innovators in Chattanooga, Excalibur can focus on pushing the boundaries further,” Jenkins said.
